The first quarter of 2022 saw notable activity in the carpooling and ridesharing app market on the Android platform in Peru. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced a steady climb in weekly downloads, starting from 19.4K in early January and peaking at 35.5K by the end of March. The app also saw a consistent increase in weekly active users, rising from 346K to 470K over the quarter.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides had a declining trend in weekly downloads, beginning at 25K in late December and dropping to 10.4K by the end of March. However, its weekly active users showed a positive trajectory, increasing from 246K to 277K throughout the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a stable weekly download rate, fluctuating around the 10K mark for most of the quarter. The app's weekly active users rose significantly from 577K at the start of the quarter to 635K by the end.

Beat Passenger: Find your ride had a moderate weekly download performance, starting at 11.2K in late December and ending at 9.4K by the end of March. The weekly active users increased from 136K to 153K during the same period.

Cabify showed a consistent weekly download rate, starting at 7.1K and ending at 7.8K. Its weekly active users saw a slight increase from 90.8K to 97.6K over the quarter.
